Why is this card good?

Accursed Marauder is an edict-on-a-stick that punches above its 2-mana cost in the right shells. The key word is nontoken — this hits hexproof/shroud commanders, indestructible creatures, and protected threats that targeted removal can't touch. Each opponent picks their own creature, so it's mediocre against go-wide token boards but excellent against decks running one or two key bodies. Where it shines is in aristocrats and reanimator decks, where a recurring 2-mana edict creature is gold. Blink it with Conjurer's Closet/Ephemerate, sacrifice and reanimate it (Phyrexian Reclamation, Liliana effects), and you generate repeatable forced sacrifice that also fuels your own death triggers via Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, etc. You sacrifice too, but that's often upside in those decks. Don't play it in token decks (you'll usually have the worst nontoken creature), or if your board is light on expendable bodies — you can be forced to lose your own commander or a key piece. Best when you control the recursion and the sacrifice fodder.
