Why is this card good?
Borne Upon a Wind is a deceptively powerful instant that turns your whole hand into flash spells for the turn, then replaces itself with a card. That cantrip is crucial — it means you rarely lose tempo by holding it up.
The big payoff is surprise. Cast it on an opponent's end step and unload your sorcery-speed engine — board wipes, planeswalkers, big creatures — while keeping interaction mana available. It's especially nasty for combo decks that want to deploy a wincon on a clear stack, and for spellslinger/Storm shells that can chain a flash-enabled burst turn out of nowhere.
Wants it: flash/tempo decks, blue combo (think Kess, Urza, Talrand), and any deck leaning on instant-speed politics or surprise board states.
Skip it in pure value or token decks that don't care about timing, and in slower builds where you'd rather just play a stronger two-drop. The card does nothing on its own — it's only as good as the explosive turn you're enabling.
