Why is this card good?
Boros Signet is one of the best ramp pieces available to red-white decks, and a near-auto-include in any Boros (or Boros-containing) Commander deck. The reason it outperforms basic mana rocks like a vanilla "add one mana" artifact is mana fixing: it filters one generic into two colored mana of exactly the colors you need. That's huge in a guild that historically struggles for ramp and card advantage.
Signets accelerate you from three to five mana a turn early, smoothing double-pip costs and enabling explosive turns. They want a home in basically every Boros deck — aggro, equipment/voltron, blink, and especially multicolor decks where the fixing matters most.
When to skip it: super-low-curve aggressive decks (like a Boros aggro shell maxing out at four mana) sometimes prefer cards that directly impact the board over ramp that nets zero immediate mana. But for the vast majority of Boros lists, it's a staple. Run it.
