Brightclimb // Grimclimb Pathway is a modal dual land — you choose which side to play, and it enters untapped producing either white or black. That untapped clause is the whole pitch: in a format where tempo and curving out matter, an untapped dual that never costs you life (unlike shocks/painlands) is genuinely premium fixing.
The catch is built into the design: it only ever taps for one color, decided when you play it. So it's not true dual fixing — it's a flexible basic-land slot. Early game you grab the color you need; later it's locked.
Play it in any Orzhov (BW) deck — aristocrats, lifegain, tokens, control. It's especially good in two-color decks where you frequently need one color or the other but rarely both from the same source on the same turn.
Skip it in heavily multicolor decks that need lands tapping for multiple colors at once; there, true duals, triomes, or fetch targets serve you better. As pure fixing, though, it's nearly always correct in Orzhov.
