Why is this card good?
Burnished Hart is one of the most flexible ramp pieces in Commander precisely because it's colorless — any deck can run it, and it fixes two basic land types onto the battlefield, helping multicolor decks hit their colors.
The trade-off is the price: six total mana across two turns to ramp two lands. That's slow. What makes it shine isn't the ramp itself but the artifact creature body that dies on demand. It's a sacrifice fodder all-star.
Who wants it:
- Aristocrats decks — free sac fodder that replaces itself with lands.
- Reanimator / graveyard decks that recur creatures (Meren, Muldrotha, Karador) get repeated value.
- Three-to-five-color decks needing colorless fixing, especially those light on green.
When to skip it: Mono-color or two-color decks with better ramp, fast/cEDH lists (way too slow), and any deck not abusing the sacrifice or recursion angle. If you're just paying six mana for two tapped basics with no synergy, run a Signet or Cultivate instead.
