Why is this card good?

Consecrated Sphinx is one of the most explosive card-advantage engines in blue. In a four-player game, every opponent's draw step alone nets you six cards a turn cycle — and that's before you account for fetches, cantrips, and other draw effects flying around the table. Untap with it once and you've usually buried everyone in resources. It's a staple in any blue control, spellslinger, or "draw-go" deck, and it's premium fuel for storm or combo shells that want to dig toward a wincon. Decks built around Nekusar or other "everyone draws" symmetry effects love it even more. The catch: it screams "kill me." A 4/6 flyer with a {6} price tag does nothing the turn it lands, and the whole table will prioritize removing it. Don't run it without protection (counters, flicker, recursion) or you'll trade six mana for nothing repeatedly. Skip it in aggressive, low-curve decks that can't capitalize on the cards, or pods where it just paints a target.
