Crumbling Necropolis

Land

LegalRank #360

This land enters tapped.

{T}: Add {U}, {B}, or {R}.

Why is this card good?

Crumbling Necropolis is a clean three-color taplands that fixes exactly Grixis (UBR). It's nothing flashy, but in a format defined by mana consistency, reliable fixing is always quietly valuable. Why it's good: Untapped, perfectly even fixing for all three Grixis colors at zero cost beyond entering tapped. It's also a "Gate"-adjacent tri-land that shuffles into your fetchable land pool less often, but importantly it counts as multiple basic land types for... actually no — it doesn't have basic types, so fetches can't grab it. Still, the unconditional three-color tap is exactly what reactive Grixis control, spellslinger, and reanimator decks crave. Who wants it: Any Grixis commander — think Kess, Marchesa, Nekusar, or any three-color goodstuff deck that needs to hit all its pips on curve. When to skip it: Fast combo or aggressive decks that can't afford the tapped land entering turn-one. If your curve is low and tempo matters, prioritize untapped duals or pain lands instead. In casual/midrange Grixis, it's an easy include.
