Why is this card good?
Etali is one of the best payoffs in mono-red big-creature decks, because it converts a single attack into a multi-spell explosion. Casting "any number of spells" from the top of every library means you're stealing your opponents' bombs for free — and in a four-player game, you're digging through four decks, so the value is enormous and chaotic in your favor.
It shines in Gruul/Jund stompy, big-mana, and superfriends shells as a commander or in the 99. Anything that lets it connect or attack repeatedly (Hammer of Nazahn, double-strike, extra combats via Aggravated Assault) snowballs hard. It's also a fine reanimation/cheat target since you just want it swinging.
The catch: it does nothing the turn it lands, so you need haste, protection, or a way to force the attack — a 6/6 with no evasion gets chump-blocked or removed before it pays off. Skip it in low-curve aggro or decks that can't reliably make it attack safely.
