Why is this card good?

Faerie Mastermind is a sneaky-good value engine that punishes the table for doing what tables do — drawing cards. In a four-player game, opponents draw extra cards constantly: card advantage spells, "draw a card" triggers, group hug effects, even simple cantrips. Each opponent's second draw each turn refills your hand, so this can quietly stack two or three triggers per turn cycle. The flash + flying body means you deploy it on an end step, dodge sorcery-speed removal, and start swinging or holding up interaction. Who wants it: Any blue deck, but especially spellslinger, control, and value-grind builds. It shines hard against group hug tables and draw-heavy metas (think Niv-Mizzet, Atraxa superfriends, wheels). The {3}{U} activated ability lets you symmetrically wheel — fine when you control the trigger payoff or when you're flooding the table to bait others into your trap. When to skip it: Low-draw, aggressive go-wide token or stax decks where opponents barely cantrip get little value. It's a metagame card — great in spell-soup pods, mediocre in creature-combat mirrors.

    Faerie Mastermind doesn't need to have been under your control when the first card is drawn for its ability to trigger. As long as you control it when an opponent draws their second card in a turn, that ability will trigger.
