Why is this card good?
Goblin Anarchomancer is one of the best cost reducers in Gruul colors, and it comes down on turn two for just two mana — meaning it can start paying for itself almost immediately.
The key is the breadth: it reduces every red or green spell, including creatures, instants, sorceries, even your commander if it's mono-R/G or Gruul. In a heavy Gruul deck where most of your cards qualify, casting two or three spells a turn effectively saves you a land's worth of mana repeatedly. That snowballs hard.
Who wants it:
- Gruul "big mana"/ramp decks (Xenagos, Klauth, Marisi)
- Spellslinger or storm-adjacent Gruul builds
- Token/go-wide lists wanting to dump their hand
When to skip it: Multicolor decks where many spells fall outside R/G (Jund, Naya, Temur with heavy off-color splashes) get diminishing returns. It's also fragile — a 1/2 that dies to any sweeper or removal, so don't over-rely on it for combo math.
