Impact Tremors

{1}{R}

Enchantment

LegalBoard WipeRank #186

Whenever a creature you control enters, this enchantment deals 1 damage to each opponent.

Why is this card good?

Impact Tremors is the premier two-mana payoff for any deck that floods the board with creatures. The math is simple but brutal: in a four-player pod, every creature you make pings three opponents for 1, so a single token swarm spell can deal a dozen or more damage out of nowhere. This is a staple in token decks (Krenko, Goblins, Jetmir, Ognis), aristocrats shells that recur and re-cast creatures, and any go-wide red deck. It pairs explosively with mass-token generators, Purphoros-style anthem effects, and recursion engines like blink. It doesn't care about attacking, so it punishes pillowfort and stax tables that try to stall the board. It's cheap enough that even non-dedicated red decks can run it as incidental reach to close games. Skip it if your deck runs few creatures or leans on a couple of big bombs — one body for 1 damage is laughable. It also does nothing the turn it lands, so don't expect it to stabilize you defensively. Pure payoff, no synergy = wasted slot.

    If multiple creatures you control enter at the same time, Impact Tremors will trigger once for each of those creatures. This is true even if Impact Tremors enters at the same time as those creatures.
