Why is this card good?
Inventors' Fair is a near-auto-include in any artifact-heavy deck, and there are a lot of those in Commander.
The tutor is the whole point. For 4 mana you fetch any artifact to hand — your combo piece, your missing mana rock, a key equipment, or a game-ending bomb. Because it's a land that taps for colorless, it's effectively a free tutor slot: it costs you nothing to run since you'd play a land there anyway, and it doubles as fixing/ramp before you crack it. The lifegain is irrelevant filler but occasionally relevant in grindy games.
Wants it: artifact decks broadly — Urza, Breya, Osgir, Jhoira, Sydri, Daretti, affinity/Tron-style builds, and any deck assembling an artifact combo (Thopter Foundry, Krark-Clan Ironworks lines, etc.).
When NOT to play it: non-artifact decks that struggle to hit three artifacts consistently, since the activation is gated. If your list runs only a handful of rocks, it's just a colorless land — you'll often never enable the ability.
