Why is this card good?

Lush Portico is a quietly excellent dual land for Selesnya decks, and it's better than it looks on paper. The key word is its typeline: Forest Plains. That makes it fetchable by every relevant land-finder — Knight of the Reliquary, Farseek, Skyshroud Claim, Scapeshift, and any Forest/Plains fetch effects. Basic-type duals are always premium for that reason alone. The surveil 1 is small but real value, smoothing draws and enabling graveyard synergies — feeding delirium, reanimation, or self-mill payoffs without costing you a card. The downside is the obvious one: it enters tapped. In fast, low-curve aggro or competitive Selesnya builds where every untapped source matters, the tempo loss hurts, and you'd rather run untapped duals or original duals. Play it in any midrange-to-casual GW deck — tokens, +1/+1 counters, lifegain, value piles — especially ones running fetch/ramp packages that exploit basic land types. Skip it in tightly tuned cEDH manabases that can't afford the tapland tax. A safe, efficient include for the vast majority of Selesnya lists.
