Why is this card good?
Mana Geyser is a classic burst-mana payoff that scales with the table, not just your own board. In a four-player game with people tapping out, this routinely nets 8–15+ red mana off a 5-mana investment — an enormous swing that fuels game-ending turns.
The trick is timing. Cast it after opponents have tapped out for their own plays (or on their end step) to maximize tapped lands. It's a key piece in Storm, spellslinger, and big-mana combo decks, especially red-heavy lists running Jeska, Veyran, or any deck that wants a single explosive turn. Combined with Reiterate for an infinite mana loop (buyback + enough lands tapped), it becomes a literal win condition.
The mana it makes is colorless-in-spirit only in that it's all red — so it shines in mono-red or red-dominant decks with red mana sinks (X spells, Comet Storm, big draw).
Skip it if your deck lacks a payoff for a one-shot mana flood, or if you're in a slow, grindy build — the mana evaporates if you can't spend it immediately.
