Why is this card good?
Massacre Wurm is a board wipe and a finisher stapled onto a 6/5 body. The -2/-2 ETB is a one-sided sweeper that punishes go-wide strategies hard — token armies, weenie decks, and X/2-or-less swarms simply evaporate. Crucially, the second ability turns every creature death into Drain damage, so against three opponents flooding the board you can deal massive, often lethal, damage just by casting it.
Best homes are mono-black control, aristocrats, and decks that can blink or reanimate it (Sheoldred, Liliana, K'rrik, or any death-matters shell). Flicker effects let you re-trigger the wipe repeatedly. It also shines as a recurrable answer in grindy multiplayer pods.
Don't play it where opponents lean on big, resilient creatures — a -2/-2 does nothing to Eldrazi, ramp giants, or voltron commanders, leaving you with a fragile 6-drop. It also whiffs in low-creature metas and isn't a true wrath. Treat it as a tempo-positive sweeper plus drain, not a clean reset.
