Why is this card good?
Reclamation Sage is a Commander staple for one simple reason: interaction on a body. Every table has problematic artifacts and enchantments — Smothering Tithe, Rhystic Study, Aetherflux Reservoir, mana rocks, stax pieces like Winter Orb. A 2/1 that kills one of them stapled to a creature you can later rebuy is exactly the flexibility green wants.
The reusability is the key selling point. Any green deck with recursion, flicker, or sacrifice synergies turns this into repeatable removal: Yarok, Roon, Ghave, or any creature-blink or graveyard-return shell. It also blocks reanimation toolboxes and tutor targets (Birthing Pod, Eldritch Evolution, Green Sun's Zenith).
When to skip it: it's only one piece of removal, and it's mandatory-ish to target on ETB-value decks but useless if no target exists. If you want guaranteed mass answers, play Bane of Progress or Vandalblast instead. Cedh decks often prefer instant-speed answers (Force of Vigor, Nature's Claim) over a sorcery-speed creature.
Still, for 95% of green decks, it's an easy include.
