Why is this card good?
Seething Song is a classic ritual: pay 3 mana, get 5 red, netting +2 mana for a single big turn. That burst is the whole point — it doesn't ramp you permanently, it explodes one turn.
This shines in dedicated combo and storm decks. Commanders like Krark/Sakashima, Birgi, God of Storytelling, Grenzo, or any Underworld Breach shell want cheap mana to chain spells, fuel a big X-spell, or untap into a kill. Birgi in particular loves it since casting it generates extra value. It's also great in Jeska's Will / ritual-heavy spellslinger lines.
Don't play it in midrange or "good stuff" red decks — a one-shot ritual that puts you down a card does nothing if you're not converting that mana into a win or a game-defining play. The mana you spend casting it is wasted unless you immediately spend the output. If your deck just wants ramp, run rocks like Sol Ring instead; rituals are for explosive, combo-oriented turns only.
