Why is this card good?

Selesnya Sanctuary is a "bounce land" — one of the original Ravnica karoo lands. The appeal is mana fixing plus a free ramp-ish feel: tapping for two mana of two colors smooths your curve in GW decks that often struggle to hit double-pips. The catch is real, though. It enters tapped and bounces a land, so it actively costs you tempo the turn you play it. The bounce can be upside — replay an ETB land like a fetch or a Karoo of its own — but most of the time it just sets you back a turn. Best in slower, multicolor or budget-leaning Selesnya/Abzan/Naya decks where fixing matters more than speed, and great with landfall payoffs (Avenger, Scute Swarm, Tireless Provisioner) since the bounce lets you replay lands for extra triggers. Don't run it in fast, aggressive, or cEDH-adjacent builds — the tempo loss is punishing, and untapped duals or a basic are simply better when you need mana now.
