Why is this card good?

Why it's good: Takenuma is essentially a free roster slot. Early game it's a tapland that produces black; late game, when you're flooding out, you can discard it for a Raise Dead that also self-mills value. That flexibility — land when you need mana, spell when you don't — is exactly what Commander decks crave, since the worst feeling is drawing a dead land in the late game. Who wants it: Almost any black deck. It shines in legendary-heavy builds (it can channel for as little as {B}) and reanimator/aristocrats shells where milling fuels graveyard payoffs and getting back a bomb creature or planeswalker is huge. Voltron and superfriends with lots of legends abuse the cost reduction best. When to skip it: Decks with very tight, fast color requirements may dislike the slight tempo hit of another untapped-but-do-nothing land, and mono-white/blue decks obviously can't use it. But for black decks, the downside is nearly nonexistent — it's a near-auto-include.
