Why is this card good?

Talisman of Curiosity is premium two-color ramp: a turn-two mana rock that fixes for both your colors and accelerates you toward four-drops on turn three. In Commander, that tempo boost is exactly what midrange and combo decks crave, and the colorless option gives you a painless tap when you just need generic mana. The Talisman cycle is generally favored over Signets in faster decks because it taps for mana immediately without needing a mana investment to activate — it's strictly better than a Signet for raw acceleration, at the cost of an occasional point of life. Wants it: Simic (GU) commanders doing ramp, spellslinger, or combo — anything where shaving a turn matters. Decks like Kinnan, Yarok, or any blue-green value engine that wants to deploy threats early. Skip it if: Your deck is durdly, lifegain-punishing, or so grindy that the life loss adds up against aggro. Also weaker in slow, casual pods where speed isn't the goal — a Signet or land-based ramp is fine there.
