Why is this card good?
Temple of Malady is a rock-solid dual land for any Golgari deck. The scry 1 on entry is small but meaningful — it smooths your draws and helps you dig toward what you need, which adds up over a long Commander game.
The catch is that it enters tapped. In a 100-card singleton format where games routinely go 10+ turns, that tempo loss is usually negligible, and the fixing plus scry is worth it. It's a great inclusion in midrange and value-oriented BG decks — graveyard strategies, +1/+1 counters, lands-matter, or general two-color goodstuff piles led by commanders like Meren, Muldrotha, or Hapatra.
When NOT to play it: fast combo or competitive (cEDH) builds that need untapped fixing on turn one to keep pace. There you'd prefer Overgrown Tomb, Llanowar Wastes, or fetch/shock packages. Also skip it if you're heavy on one color and only lightly splashing the other — a basic or one-sided dual serves better.
Otherwise, near-auto-include in casual-to-mid Golgari.
