The World Tree

Land

LegalRank #782

This land enters tapped.

{T}: Add {G}.

As long as you control six or more lands, lands you control have "{T}: Add one mana of any color."

{W}{W}{U}{U}{B}{B}{R}{R}{G}{G}, {T}, Sacrifice this land: Search your library for any number of God cards, put them onto the battlefield, then shuffle.

Why is this card good?

The fixing land that's secretly an all-star. The World Tree's real value isn't its God tutor—it's the static ability. Once you hit six lands (trivial in Commander), every land you control becomes a five-color source. That's absurd fixing for any 3-5 color deck, turning Wastes, basics, and utility lands into perfect mana with no real downside beyond entering tapped. Who wants it: - Any WUBRG or 4-color commander deck starved for fixing. - Big mana / lands-matter decks that want to ramp into anything. - Kindred God decks (Theros gods, Phyrexian praetors loosely) that can actually use the sac ability for a backbreaking turn. When to skip it: Two-color or mono-color decks—you don't need rainbow fixing, and entering tapped is a real cost. The sac ability is a near-meme outside dedicated God tribal; ten specific mana to cheat in Gods rarely comes up. Don't include this for the tutor. Bottom line: include it as fixing in 3+ colors, ignore the flashy text.

The World Tree’s third ability doesn’t cause lands you control to lose any of their abilities. It also doesn’t cause lands you control to gain or lose any land types.
