Why is this card good?
Welcoming Vampire is one of mono-white's best repeatable card advantage engines, and it's dirt cheap at three mana with an evasive body.
The key is the "once each turn" clause — it doesn't punish you for going wide; it rewards consistency. Any deck that reliably drops a small creature each turn will draw an extra card every turn cycle, which is enormous for a color starved for raw advantage.
Who wants it:
- Token decks — your 1/1s trigger it constantly.
- Aristocrats — small creatures entering between sacrifices keep cards flowing.
- Blink decks — flickered small creatures re-trigger it; pairs beautifully with the likes of Ranar or Felisa.
- Most go-wide white commanders broadly.
When to skip it: decks built around big, expensive creatures (power 3+) — ramp/voltron/big-stuff lists rarely meet the power 2-or-less requirement and get nothing. It's also fragile; opponents will kill it, so don't lean on it as your only draw.
Overall: an easy include for any low-curve white creature deck.
