Why is this card good?
Worn Powerstone is a solid mid-tier ramp rock that nets you mana ahead of schedule — three mana to make two, accelerating you toward your bigger plays a turn early.
The catch is that it produces only colorless mana, so it doesn't fix or smooth your colored costs. That makes it best in decks that sink mana into generic costs: artifact decks, big-mana strategies (Eldrazi, Karn, Urza), and ramp-heavy commanders that want to cast huge spells or activate expensive abilities.
- Want it: colorless/artifact ramp decks, Eldrazi tribal, X-spell shells, anything churning out generic mana sinks.
- Skip it: three- or four-color decks that need color fixing, lower-curve aggressive or tempo builds, and any deck where the entering-tapped clause and colorless-only output actively slow you down.
Compared to a Signet or Talisman, it makes more mana but is clunkier and less flexible. Play it when raw colorless output matters more than fixing — otherwise there are better rocks at this slot.
