The Commander

First strike, vigilance, lifelink

When Danitha enters, you may put an Aura or Equipment card from your hand or graveyard onto the battlefield attached to Danitha.

Guide

Gameplan

Danitha is a mono-white Voltron commander that comes pre-loaded with first strike, vigilance, and lifelink, making her an immediate threat the moment she hits the battlefield. Suit her up with Auras and Equipment to swing for lethal commander damage, leaning on her ETB to cheat a key piece into play for free. Protect her, connect a few times, and close games through repeated big attacks while gaining life to stay safe.

Strengths

  • Comes with three premium keyword abilities built in, so even a single Aura or Equipment turns her into a real clock
  • ETB ability provides immediate value and tempo by free-attaching gear from hand or graveyard, even after a recast
  • Lifelink plus vigilance lets you attack aggressively while staying defensively stable
  • Cheap five-mana commander that's easy to recast and keeps generating value each time

Weaknesses

  • Highly vulnerable to single-target removal, board wipes, and edicts — losing Danitha can strand your buffs
  • Mono-white means limited card draw and few ways to rebuild after a wipe
  • All-in Voltron strategy can be shut down by fog effects, blockers, and pillowfort decks
  • Color identity gives little interaction with the stack or fast combo decks

Key Cards

  • Swiftfoot Boots — Hexproof and haste protect Danitha and let her attack the turn she suits up.
  • Sram, Senior Edificer — Turns every Aura and Equipment you cast into a card, solving white's card-draw problem in this archetype.
  • Colossus Hammer — Cheap Equipment that grants +10/+10, and Danitha's ETB can attach it for free to ignore the equip cost.
  • Shadowspear — Grants trample so your Voltron damage isn't chump-blocked, plus useful keyword stripping.
  • Sigarda's Aid — Flashes in Auras and Equipment and attaches Equipment for free, accelerating your suit-up and dodging sorcery-speed removal.
  • Open the Armory — Tutors for the exact Aura or Equipment you need, including protective gear.

Upgrade Path

Add protection and resilience: Whispersilk Cloak, Lightning Greaves, and Sram's Expertise-style value pieces, plus haste enablers so she's lethal the turn she lands. Lean into equip-cost reduction (Puresteel Paladin, Sigarda's Aid) and card advantage (Sram, Mesa Enchantress, Stoneforge Mystic) to never run out of gas. Tighten the curve, run efficient tutors like Steelshaper's Gift and Enlightened Tutor, and include trample/double strike enablers like Fireshrieker to make every hit count.

Win Conditions

  • ▸Connecting with a buffed Danitha for 21 commander damage, often via Colossus Hammer or stacked Auras
  • ▸Granting trample/double strike to swing for lethal in one or two attacks
  • ▸Going wide with Knights or tokens while Danitha leads the charge
  • ▸Lifelink swings stabilizing your life total to grind out attrition wins

Archetypes

  • Voltron — Danitha's free attachments plus her built-in evasion keywords make her an ideal commander-damage beater.
  • Equipment — Her ETB cheats Equipment into play, and white is loaded with equip-cost reducers and tutors.
  • Auras / Enchantress — She can attach Auras for free, and Aura-matters payoffs reward stacking buffs onto a single resilient body.
  • Aggro / Knights — As a cheap, aggressive Knight she fits go-wide weenie and tribal Knight shells that race opponents.
