Whenever Emet-Selch enters or attacks, draw a card, then discard a card.
At the beginning of your upkeep, if there are fourteen or more cards in your graveyard, you may transform Emet-Selch.
Echo of the Lost — During your turn, you may play cards from your graveyard.
If a card or token would be put into your graveyard from anywhere, exile it instead.
Self-mill and loot to stock a 14-card graveyard, then flip Emet-Selch into Hades on your upkeep to start casting spells straight out of the yard. You grind value with cheap card filtering early, refill the graveyard via mill/discard, and bury opponents in a recursion engine once Hades is online. Win by out-carding the table and recasting your best threats and finishers repeatedly.
Add premium reanimation (Reanimate, Entomb, Buried Alive) and fast mana (Sol Ring, Dark Ritual, signets) to deploy threats ahead of curve. Lean into a combo finish like Underworld Breach with Lion's Eye Diamond, and respect that Hades stops your self-mill—run enough mill to flip but pivot to recursion afterward. Round out with graveyard protection and counterspells (Counterspell, Force of Negation) so opponents can't blow up your engine.
