BuildCard details

The Commander

{G}: Regenerate another target Elf.

{2}{G}{G}{G}: Elf creatures you control get +3/+3 and gain trample until end of turn.

Guide

Gameplan

Flood the board with Elves that double as mana producers, then convert that mana into a lethal overrun. Ramp explosively in the early turns, build a wide Elf army, and use Ezuri's {2}{G}{G}{G} pump to give the whole team +3/+3 and trample for a one-shot kill, often activating it multiple times in a turn.

Strengths

  • Explosive mana from Elvish ramp pieces lets you out-accelerate most decks
  • Built-in repeatable win condition that scales and ignores blockers via trample
  • Regenerate ability makes your team resilient to board wipes and combat
  • Cheap commander that gets back to work quickly after removal

Weaknesses

  • Mono-green means almost no interaction with spells or instant-speed removal
  • Highly vulnerable to board wipes if you overcommit before having mana up
  • Relies heavily on Ezuri and the Elf engine; targeted hate slows you to a crawl
  • Limited card draw outside green's narrow tools

Key Cards

  • Priest of Titania — Taps for green per Elf, producing the massive mana needed for repeated Ezuri overruns.
  • Elvish Archdruid — Anthem plus huge mana ramp that scales with your Elf count.
  • Craterhoof Behemoth — A second overrun effect that pairs with Ezuri for an immediate, often unblockable kill.
  • Heritage Druid — Lets you tap three Elves for mana, enabling absurd early-game acceleration.
  • Wirewood Symbiote — Untaps mana Elves and protects creatures, fueling explosive turns and repeated activations.
  • Beast Whisperer — Converts your dense creature count into a steady stream of card advantage.

Upgrade Path

Add fast mana and untap engines like Sword of the Paruns or Umbral Mantle on an Archdruid for infinite-mana kills, plus protection like Heroic Intervention and Asceticism to survive wipes. Improve consistency with tutors such as Worldly Tutor and Green Sun's Zenith, and round out the curve with stronger draw (Guardian Project, Sylvan Library) so you stop running out of gas.

Core Cards

The most-played cards for this commander, built from aggregated deck data (the Mythic Graph). Build public decks to seed it.

Win Conditions

  • ▸Repeated Ezuri overruns granting +3/+3 and trample for one-shot commander damage spread across the team
  • ▸Craterhoof Behemoth or Overwhelming Stampede for an alpha strike
  • ▸Mana-doubler loops (Sword of the Paruns, Umbral Mantle) producing infinite mana to pump indefinitely

Archetypes

  • Elf Tribal — Ezuri is the textbook Elfball payoff, rewarding a critical mass of Elves with mana and a finisher.
  • Go-Wide Tokens — His +3/+3 trample pump scales perfectly with a flooded board of creatures.
  • Mana Ramp Combo — Untap and mana-Elf loops generate enough mana to activate Ezuri lethally in a single turn.
