The Commander

You may reveal the first card you draw each turn as you draw it. Whenever you reveal an instant or sorcery card this way, copy that card and you may cast the copy. That copy costs {2} less to cast.

When God-Eternal Kefnet dies or is put into exile from the battlefield, you may put it into its owner's library third from the top.

Gameplan

Cast God-Eternal Kefnet early and weaponize your draw step: reveal the first card each turn, and whenever it's an instant or sorcery, copy it and cast the copy for {2} less. Build a mono-blue control/spellslinger shell that draws extra cards, manipulates the top of your library, and chains powerful spells while Kefnet beats down for 4 in the air.

Strengths

  • Generates free copies of your best instants and sorceries, doubling card advantage and tempo every turn
  • Built-in protection: dies or gets exiled and returns third from the top instead of going to the command zone, dodging commander tax

Add fast mana (Mana Crypt, Sol Ring, Mana Vault) and efficient cantrips to deploy Kefnet early and chain spells. Invest heavily in top-of-library control—Sensei's Divining Top, Scroll Rack, Mystical Tutor—to make the reveal trigger consistent, and include extra-turn spells like Time Warp and Temporal Manipulation that become devastating when copied. Tighten the win condition with a compact combo (e.g., extra turns plus a finisher) so the engine actually closes games.
