BuildCard details

The Commander

{T}, Sacrifice three other artifacts and/or creatures: Look at the top three cards of your library. Put two of them into your hand and the other into your graveyard.

Partner (You can have two commanders if both have partner.)

Guide

Gameplan

Keskit turns a wide board of tokens and cheap artifacts into card advantage, sacrificing three permanents per activation to dig for two cards. You flood the board with disposable fodder (Treasures, Thopters, Servos, creature tokens), loop sacrifice payoffs to drain the table, and grind opponents out with relentless value while assembling combos. Partner lets you pair Keskit with a second commander to add a combo line or extra color.

Strengths

  • Excellent card advantage engine that refuels in mono-black draw-light decks
  • Synergizes perfectly with aristocrats payoffs like Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat
  • Partner offers flexible color/strategy splashes and a built-in second engine
  • Token and artifact generators give nearly infinite sacrifice fodder
  • Cheap 3-mana commander that's easy to recast

Weaknesses

  • Requires a critical mass of sacrifice fodder or Keskit does nothing
  • Tapped activation makes it slow and removable before it generates value
  • No protection or evasion; dies to any spot removal
  • Mono-black (without partner) struggles with artifact/enchantment removal
  • Sacrificing three permanents is steep without token engines

Key Cards

  • Pitiless Plunderer — Each creature death makes a Treasure, fueling Keskit's three-permanent cost and ramping you.
  • Ashnod's Altar — Free sac outlet that turns fodder into mana, enabling explosive Keskit activations and combo loops.
  • Blood Artist — Turns every sacrificed creature into incremental drain, converting Keskit's fuel into a win condition.
  • Bitterblossom — Steady stream of Faerie tokens gives you renewable fodder for repeated activations.
  • Reckoner Bankbuster — Generates Treasures and card advantage as expendable artifact fodder Keskit loves.
  • Marionette Master — Pairs with mass artifact sacrifice for a burst aristocrats kill.

Upgrade Path

Add free sacrifice outlets (Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Tower) and token engines (Bitterblossom, Ophiomancer) so Keskit always has fodder. Lean into a combo finish such as Pitiless Plunderer plus a free outlet and a death payoff, and use a partner like Tymna the Weaver or Tana to add extra card draw or fodder generation. Tighten the manabase with fast mana (Dark Ritual, Jeweled Lotus) and tutors (Demonic Tutor, Diabolic Intent) to assemble your engine faster.
