The Commander

As long as Kianne's power is even, you may cast noncreature spells as though they had flash.

Gameplan

Kianne is a flash-enabler that rewards heavy card draw: every draw adds a +1/+1 counter, and her parity (even/odd power) lets you flash in either noncreature or creature spells. The deck plays draw-go control, holding up interaction and threats, then ambushes opponents on their turns while Kianne snowballs into a beater. You win by out-drawing the table, deploying everything at instant speed, and either grinding value or landing a flash-based combo/finisher.

Strengths

  • Massive card advantage engine—every draw grows your commander for free.
  • Flash on creatures or noncreature spells gives huge instant-speed flexibility and ambush potential.
  • Blue-green has the best card draw, counterspells, and ramp to fuel the engine.
  • Threatens politically friendly draw-go play that punishes overextension.

Weaknesses

  • Parity management is fiddly—you only get one flash mode at a time and have to track Kianne's power.
  • Relies on the commander; without Kianne the flash payoff disappears.
  • Color identity lacks efficient board wipes and targeted removal beyond bounce/counters.
  • Can be slow to close games if it durdles on value instead of committing to a wincon.

Upgrade Path

Add card-draw doublers (Alhammarret's Archive, Teferi's Ageless Insight) and proliferate to accelerate counters and value. Pick up Vedalken Orrery and Seedborn Muse to fully break the parity restriction and use flash every turn. Tighten the finish with a tutorable combo or Craterhoof/Finale package, and round out with top-tier blue interaction (Cyclonic Rift, Fierce Guardianship, Force of Negation) to protect the engine.
