The Commander

Flying, trample, indestructible, haste

Other artifact creatures you control have flying, trample, indestructible, and haste.

Guide

Gameplan

Krang is a colorless commander, so you build an all-artifact (and Eldrazi) creature army powered by mass mana rocks. Ramp hard early with Sol Ring, Tron lands, and Eldrazi temples, drop Krang or your fatties, and immediately swing with an evasive, indestructible, hasty board. Most games end by alpha-striking with trampling fliers that can't be killed by removal-light tables.

Strengths

  • Indestructible + flying + trample turns every artifact creature into an unblockable, board-wipe-proof threat
  • Haste means no summoning sickness, so the army attacks the turn it lands
  • Color identity is colorless, letting you run every colorless staple and powerful artifact land/rock
  • Built-in evasion solves the biggest problem of go-wide artifact decks

Weaknesses

  • Nine mana is brutal; Krang is slow and the deck stalls without heavy ramp
  • Indestructible doesn't stop exile, bounce, -X/-X, sacrifice, or tap effects
  • No access to colored interaction, card draw, or removal beyond colorless artifacts
  • Vulnerable to artifact-hate sweepers like Vandalblast, Bane of Progress, and Cleansing Nova
  • Eats commander tax fast and is a removal magnet despite being indestructible

Key Cards

  • Sol Ring — Mandatory turn-one ramp that helps reach Krang's nine-mana cost much faster.
  • Eldrazi Temple — Colorless mana fixing that fuels expensive artifact and Eldrazi bombs.
  • Urza's Saga — Assembles Tron-style mana and fetches cheap rocks while making a token to share Krang's keywords.
  • Karn, the Great Creator — Locks out opposing artifacts and tutors haymakers from your sideboard-style wishboard.
  • Wurmcoil Engine — A resilient artifact body that becomes an indestructible trampling lifegain threat under Krang.
  • Kozilek, the Great Distortion — Refills your hand on cast and gives Krang's army a massive colorless finisher.

Upgrade Path

Lean into your fastest ramp: add the Tron lands, Ancient Tomb, City of Traitors, and more on-color rocks so Krang and Eldrazi land ahead of schedule. Diversify threats so a single sweeper can't blank you, and add colorless interaction like Karn, the Great Creator, Spine of Ish Sah, and Steel Hellkite. Pushing higher means embracing a stax shell (Lodestone Golem, Winter Orb, Trinisphere) plus fast mana to deploy your unkillable army before opponents stabilize.
