The Commander

Whenever another nonartifact creature dies, return it to the battlefield under your control face down and tapped. It's a 2/2 Cyberman artifact creature.

At the beginning of your end step, each opponent faces a villainous choice — Each artifact creature you control deals 1 damage to that opponent, or you draw a card and chaos ensues.

Gameplan

Missy turns every creature death across the table into a tapped 2/2 Cyberman artifact under your control, snowballing a wide army from board wipes, sacrifice, and removal. Each turn you grind value with the end-step villainous choice—either chunking opponents with your growing artifact army or drawing cards (with chaos). You win by overwhelming with stolen creatures, going wide for combat or aristocrat damage, or assembling artifact-based combos.

Strengths

  • Converts opponents' creature deaths into your own board, profiting from removal and wraths you cast yourself
  • Inevitable end-step value: either repeated damage or card advantage every turn
  • Grixis gives access to the best removal, board wipes, and tutors to fuel the death triggers
  • Cybermen are artifacts, enabling powerful artifact synergies and sacrifice loops

Weaknesses

  • Six mana and no immediate impact—she's vulnerable to removal and must survive a turn to matter
  • Reanimating creatures as vanilla 2/2 Cybermen strips their abilities, capping individual card quality
  • Artifact-heavy board folds hard to artifact wipes like Vandalblast and Bane of Progress
  • Three-color manabase plus chaos cards can be inconsistent and swingy

Upgrade Path

Lean into self-wrath synergies—run more board wipes you can rebuild from (Damnation, Toxic Deluge) alongside free sacrifice outlets like Ashnod's Altar and Phyrexian Altar to control death timing. Add aristocrat payoffs (Blood Artist, Marionette Master) and artifact protection like Mycosynth Lattice traps or simply more interaction to defend Missy. To raise power, include fast mana (Mana Crypt, signets), strong tutors (Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor), and a compact combo such as Pitiless Plunderer plus a sac outlet for infinite-value loops.
