Menace (This creature can't be blocked except by two or more creatures.)
Whenever another Villain you control enters, Prowler connives. (Draw a card, then discard a card. If you discarded a nonland card, put a +1/+1 counter on this creature.)
Prowler is a Dimir Villain-tribal aggro/midrange commander that grows itself via connive each time another Villain enters, sculpting your hand while building a menace threat. Deploy cheap Villains and ETB-flicker effects to trigger repeated connive, dig toward your payoffs, and grind card advantage while chipping in evasive damage. You win by snowballing Prowler into a beater or leveraging the card filtering to fuel graveyard/discard synergies.
Lean into type-changers like Conspiracy and Arcane Adaptation so every creature triggers connive, then add blink engines (Conjurer's Closet, Ghostly Flicker) for repeatable value. Add protection (Swiftfoot Boots, Heroic Intervention) and efficient Dimir interaction/tutors to defend the engine, and pick a clear finish—either Voltron equipment or a reanimation package fed by connive discards.
