Gameplan

Build a board of creatures loaded with +1/+1 counters, then convert that stored value into raw card advantage by paying {2} and shedding counters to draw. Ray Fillet turns every counter source into a card-draw engine while you grind toward an evasive or pump-fueled finish in mono-blue.

Strengths

  • Repeatable card advantage by recycling +1/+1 counters into draws, hard to run out of gas
  • Mono-blue gives access to the best counterspells, card draw, and protection
  • Has built-in evasion (flying) and an immediate token on entry

  • Card draw costs mana and counters, so it can be slow without enablers

Add efficient blue interaction—Counterspell, Cyclonic Rift, Rhystic Study—and a compact win like Walking Ballista with The Ozolith for resilience. Tighten the mana with fast rocks (Sol Ring, Mana Crypt) and proliferate-friendly lands to outpace removal.
