BuildCard details

The Commander

Other Snake creatures you control get +0/+1.

Shamans you control have "{T}: Add {G}{G}."

Guide

Gameplan

Sachi turns your Snakes and Shamans into a tribal mana engine, then dumps that flood of green into giant creatures, overrun effects, or X-spells. You spend early turns deploying cheap Snakes and Shamans, then leverage Sachi's mana doubling to ramp explosively and overwhelm the board.

Strengths

  • Generates absurd amounts of green mana by tapping a wide Shaman board
  • Mono-green keeps the deck consistent and budget-friendly
  • Strong tribal synergy with Snake and Shaman support cards
  • Sachi's anthem helps fragile tribal tokens survive sweepers and combat

Weaknesses

  • Mana doubling does nothing if Sachi is removed, making her a removal magnet
  • Relies on creatures, so board wipes are devastating
  • Mono-green lacks interaction, card draw fixing, and instant-speed answers
  • Snake tribal support is shallow, forcing reliance on generic green payoffs

Key Cards

  • Seshiro the Anointed — Pairs perfectly with Sachi, pumping Snakes and drawing a card whenever a Snake deals combat damage.
  • Patagia Viper — Makes Snake tokens to widen your tribal board and feed Sachi's anthem.
  • Orochi Hatchery — Converts Sachi's mana flood into an army of 1/1 Snake tokens at instant speed.
  • Zendikar Resurgent — Stacks additional mana doubling on top of your Shamans for explosive ramp and card advantage.
  • Craterhoof Behemoth — The classic green finisher that turns your wide Snake/Shaman board into lethal damage.
  • Sachi, Daughter of Seshiro — The whole engine—her Shaman mana ability and Snake anthem define the deck's ramp and resilience.

Upgrade Path

Add more Shamans and mana dorks (Elvish Mystic, Llanowar Elves, Priest of Titania) to maximize Sachi's doubling, and lean on green ramp staples like Cultivate and Sol Ring. Improve resilience with protection (Heroic Intervention, Lightning Greaves) and reach for high-impact mana sinks—Genesis Wave, Finale of Devastation, or Walking Ballista—to convert your green flood into wins. Round it out with token producers and overrun effects to capitalize on the wide tribal board.

Core Cards

The most-played cards for this commander, built from aggregated deck data (the Mythic Graph). Build public decks to seed it.

Win Conditions

  • ▸Overrun the table with a pumped Snake army via Craterhoof Behemoth or Overwhelming Stampede
  • ▸Generate massive mana to cast a game-ending X-spell like Helix Pinnacle or Hydra payoffs
  • ▸Grind out card advantage with Seshiro and outvalue opponents into a lethal beatdown

Archetypes

  • Tribal (Snakes/Shamans) — Sachi anthem-boosts Snakes and turns Shamans into mana dorks, rewarding a creature-dense tribal build.
  • Ramp/Big Mana — Doubling green from every Shaman lets you cast oversized threats and X-spells far ahead of curve.
  • Tokens — Snake token makers fuel both the anthem and the Shaman mana engine for a go-wide plan.
