The Commander

Allons-y! — Whenever you attack, exile cards from the top of your library until you exile a nonland card. Put three time counters on it. If it doesn't have suspend, it gains suspend.

Timey-Wimey — {7}: Time travel three times. Activate only as a sorcery. (For each suspended card you own and each permanent you control with a time counter on it, you may add or remove a time counter. Then do it two more times.)

Gameplan

Attack each turn to exile the top of your library and suspend a nonland card with three time counters, then accelerate those counters with Timey-Wimey (or other time-counter manipulation) to cast a stream of free spells. Pair The Tenth Doctor with a Doctor's companion for an extra command-zone body, build a low-curve spell-heavy deck so the suspend hits land, and snowball card advantage into burn, big payoffs, or an extra-combat finish.

Strengths

  • Generates real card advantage and free spells every single combat without spending mana
  • Naturally pulls toward cheap impactful spells, so suspended cards come down fast
  • Timey-Wimey lets you cheat the wait, casting suspended cards the same turn
  • Pairs with a Doctor's companion in the command zone for added consistency and value

Weaknesses

  • Needs to connect in combat to trigger value, so it folds to fogs, removal, and gummy boards
  • Five mana and fragile—repeated commander removal taxes the deck heavily
  • Suspend exiling lands does nothing, punishing land-heavy or top-heavy curves
  • Timey-Wimey at seven mana is slow and only relevant once the engine is online
  • Variance: you can exile cards you'd rather not random-cast off suspend

Key Cards

  • As Foretold — Adds time counters every upkeep, letting you cast suspended cards a turn early and enabling free spells alongside the Doctor.
  • Jeska's Will — Explosive ritual that powers out the Doctor early and fuels Timey-Wimey activations or a big turn.
  • Aggravated Assault — Extra combats mean extra Allons-y! triggers, multiplying your suspend value each turn.
  • Rose Tyler — A premier Doctor's companion that protects you and rewards the aggressive attacking plan while sitting in the command zone.
  • Galvanic Iteration — Doubles your high-impact instants and sorceries, turning a single free spell into a game-swinging turn.
  • Combat Celebrant — Cheap body that grants extra combats, looping more attack triggers and suspend value.
  • Thousand-Year Storm — Each spell you cast copies your prior ones, converting the Doctor's free-cast engine into a lethal payoff.
  • Underworld Breach — Recur cheap spells from the yard to keep the engine and combo finishes flowing.

Upgrade Path

Lower your curve and maximize cheap, individually powerful instants/sorceries so Allons-y! reliably hits castable spells, then add time-counter accelerants (As Foretold, Paradox Haze) and extra-combat enablers to multiply triggers. Push toward dedicated payoffs like Thousand-Year Storm or Underworld Breach loops, and add fast mana (Mana Crypt, Jeska's Will, signets) plus protection (Deflecting Swat, Fierce Guardianship) to keep the Doctor swinging through interaction.
