BuildCard details

The Commander

When Titania enters, return target land card from your graveyard to the battlefield.

Whenever a land you control is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, create a 5/3 green Elemental creature token.

Guide

Gameplan

Titania turns land destruction into an army—sacrifice and crack your own lands to spit out 5/3 Elementals, then grind through the table with relentless value and overwhelming bodies. You ramp aggressively, set up fetchland and sacrifice loops, then convert every dying land into a beater while reusing land payoffs. Win by going wide with Elementals or by attrition once your engines dominate the board.

Strengths

  • Generates immediate, repeatable value—every land that dies makes a 5/3, which is huge stats for the cost
  • Mono-green gives access to the format's best ramp and land-recursion package
  • Strong synergy with sacrifice outlets, fetchlands, and landfall payoffs creates explosive turns
  • Resilient board presence that grinds out attrition-based and creature-heavy metas

Weaknesses

  • Mono-green means little to no interaction—no counterspells and limited removal
  • Heavily reliant on the commander; without Titania the engine produces nothing
  • Vulnerable to board wipes that erase your Elemental army at once
  • Can be slow and 'fair,' losing to fast combo decks before the engine snowballs
  • Crackback risk—dumping your own lands without protection leaves you exposed

Key Cards

  • Crucible of Worlds — Lets you replay fetchlands and sacrificed lands every turn, fueling endless Elemental tokens.
  • Strip Mine — With recursion it becomes a repeatable land-destruction engine that also makes a token each time it dies.
  • Splendid Reclamation — Returns every land from your graveyard at once, triggering multiple Titania tokens for an explosive swing.
  • Ramunap Excavator — A creature-based Crucible effect that keeps your land recursion going through removal redundancy.
  • Zuran Orb — Free sacrifice outlet that converts your whole board of lands into Elementals at instant speed.
  • Scapeshift — Sacrifices multiple lands to fetch more, generating a swarm of tokens in one cast.
  • Avenger of Zendikar — Doubles down on the landfall theme, flooding the board alongside Titania's Elementals.

Upgrade Path

Add fast mana and tutors—Sol Ring, Mana Crypt, Worldly Tutor, and Green Sun's Zenith—to assemble engine pieces faster. Tighten the land-recursion package (Crucible of Worlds, Ramunap Excavator, Lotus Cobra) and add finishers like Craterhoof Behemoth or Triumph of the Hordes to close before slower games stall. Include protection such as Heroic Intervention and Veil of Summer to shield your engine, and lean into Strip Mine/Wasteland soft-lock loops to control the table while you grind.

Core Cards

The most-played cards for this commander, built from aggregated deck data (the Mythic Graph). Build public decks to seed it.

Win Conditions

  • ▸Swarming the table with 5/3 Elemental tokens for lethal combat damage
  • ▸Anthem and overrun effects like Craterhoof Behemoth turning the token army lethal
  • ▸Grinding opponents out of lands with repeatable land destruction (Strip Mine + Crucible)
  • ▸Landfall payoffs like Avenger of Zendikar plus Splendid Reclamation creating an overwhelming board

Archetypes

  • Lands — Titania rewards sacrificing, recurring, and replaying lands as the core engine of the deck.
  • Tokens — Every land that dies becomes a 5/3, so go-wide token strategies and anthems thrive.
  • Aristocrats — Sacrifice outlets like Zuran Orb and Dakmor Salvage loops turn dying lands into value and bodies.
  • Stax — Repeatable Strip Mine and Wasteland effects let you deny opponents' lands while you profit.
