Gameplan

Traxos is a 7/7 trample beater for 4 that wants to crack in every turn, but it only untaps when you cast a historic spell (artifacts, legendaries, Sagas). Build a dense colorless artifact deck that chains cheap and free artifacts to keep Traxos online and swing for big colorless damage, supplemented by artifact-based ramp and equipment.

Strengths

  • Cheap, oversized trampler that closes games fast in a colorless shell
  • Colorless identity lets you abuse powerful Eldrazi, artifact lands, and unrestricted artifact ramp
  • Synergizes with the huge pool of cheap and free-to-cast artifacts to stay untapped

  • If you fail to cast a historic spell, Traxos stays tapped and does nothing
  • Colorless decks lack efficient interaction, card draw, and removal compared to colored decks

Prioritize tutors (Inventors' Fair, Whir of Invention) and protection (Lightning Greaves, Hammer of Nazahn, Darksteel Plate), and lean into a Karn/Lattice or Eldrazi top-end plus artifact recursion like Goblin Welder–style effects and Buried Ruin to grind through removal.
