BuildCard details

The Commander

Devoid (This card has no color.)

Whenever you cast an Eldrazi spell, you may pay {C}{C}. If you do, copy all spells you control, then copy all other activated and triggered abilities you control. You may choose new targets for the copies. (Mana abilities can't be copied.)

Guide

Gameplan

Ramp hard into colorless mana, then deploy Ulalek and cast Eldrazi spells, paying {C}{C} each time to copy every spell and ability you control. Each Eldrazi cast doubles your cast triggers, ETB effects, and any spells on the stack, snowballing into lethal Annihilator beats, drawn cards, or a game-ending loop. You're a five-color goodstuff Eldrazi/big-mana deck that grinds value until one cast turns into a blowout.

Strengths

  • Doubles cast triggers, ETBs, and spells for just {C}{C}, turning a single Eldrazi spell into a chain of value
  • Access to all five colors plus colorless gives unmatched card and tutor selection
  • Synergizes with cast/ETB-heavy Eldrazi like Kozilek and Ulamog for huge swings
  • Colorless ramp (Eldrazi Temple, mana rocks) fuels both casts and the copy tax

Weaknesses

  • Ulalek is a 5-mana commander that does nothing alone—needs Eldrazi spells and extra {C} to function
  • Heavy reliance on colorless mana makes it vulnerable to land destruction and artifact wipes
  • Removal-light in the command zone; opponents can simply kill Ulalek before you copy
  • Five-color manabase plus colorless demands can produce clunky, color-screwed hands

Key Cards

  • Kozilek, the Great Distortion — Casting it refills your hand, and the copy ability can double draw/discard and combat triggers.
  • Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger — Its cast trigger exiles permanents and copying it exiles ten cards plus enables indestructible Annihilator beats.
  • Eldrazi Temple — Produces the extra {C} you need to repeatedly pay Ulalek's copy tax while ramping into giant Eldrazi.
  • It That Betrays — Doubling its trigger steals every permanent your opponents sacrifice, snowballing the board.
  • Endless Atlas — Cheap colorless ramp/fixing—generic, but the deck wants every artifact that taps for {C}.
  • Kozilek's Command — A modal Eldrazi spell whose copy can resolve multiple modes at once for flexible value.

Upgrade Path

Lean into more colorless ramp—Ancient Tomb, Eldrazi Temple, and fast rocks—so you can reliably pay the {C}{C} tax on the turn you cast Eldrazi. Add high-impact cast/ETB Eldrazi and modal spells that gain the most from copying, plus tutors like Demonic Tutor and Eladamri's Call to assemble your engine. Tighten the manabase with fetches, duals, and creature-based ramp so a five-color deck still casts colored interaction without choking your colorless needs.
