Gameplan
Vish Kal is an Orzhov aristocrats/voltron hybrid: flood the board with creatures and tokens, sacrifice them to pump Vish Kal into a flying lifelink threat, then dump those counters as a one-sided board wipe to clear blockers or kill opponents' creatures. You grind value through death triggers and recursion while ending games with commander damage or repeated drains.
Strengths
- Built-in board wipe that removes blockers right before a swing for lethal flying commander damage.
- Lifelink keeps you out of burn/aggro range while you grind.
- Sacrifice outlet plays perfectly with aristocrats payoffs and token strategies.

Weaknesses
- Seven mana and color identity locked to BW means slow, no ramp into blue/green fixing.
- Wiping Vish Kal's counters resets your investment and leaves him vulnerable to removal.
- Heavily reliant on the commander; he's a removal magnet and recasting is expensive.

Upgrade Path
Add fast mana and reduced sac engines (Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Altar, Pitiless Plunderer) so you can pump and wipe in the same turn. Layer multiple Blood Artist effects with token doublers and a sacrifice loop to assemble near-infinite drain. Round out with tutors (Vampiric Tutor, Demonic Tutor) and protection like Lightning Greaves to make Vish Kal stick and reliably close games.
