Yahenni, Undying Partisan

Gameplan

Yahenni is a mono-black aristocrats commander that grows off opponents' creatures dying while functioning as a free sacrifice outlet that protects itself. You build a board of token generators and death-trigger payoffs, sacrifice creatures repeatedly to drain the table and feed value, and either grow Yahenni into a lethal evasive threat or assemble a sacrifice combo to win.

• Blood Artist — Converts each death from sacrificing into incremental drain that becomes a primary win condition.

• Gravecrawler — Recursive sacrifice fodder that loops with Phyrexian Altar and a drain payoff for an instant kill.
• Skullclamp — The best card-draw engine for sacrifice decks, refilling your hand off dying tokens.
• Dictate of Erebos — Punishes the table every time you sacrifice, stripping opponents' boards and feeding Yahenni's counters.

Upgrade Path

Add fast mana and tutors like Dark Ritual, Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, and Imperial Seal to assemble combos faster and more consistently. Tighten the deck around a compact infinite loop (Gravecrawler + Phyrexian Altar + a Blood Artist payoff) so you have a deterministic kill, and add interaction such as Dauthi Voidwalker and reusable removal. Improve the mana base with Cabal Coffers, Nykthos, and Urborg for explosive sacrifice-fueled turns.
