Why is this card good?

Displacer Kitten is a deceptively powerful engine piece that turns every noncreature spell into a free flicker trigger. The "blink your own permanent" effect is symmetrical-free and untaps nothing, but the real value comes from chaining ETB effects and resetting permanents. Where it shines: - Mana rocks: blink any artifact that taps for value — but more famously, with Teferi's Puzzle Box or Estrid's Invocation-style loops it goes infinite. Pair with cost reducers and rocks that re-enter untapped (it re-enters untapped, so flickering a rock you already tapped effectively "untaps" it). - Spellslinger / flicker / blink decks: any blue commander casting lots of instants/sorceries — think Brago, Aminatou, or storm-adjacent shells. - ETB value engines: reset planeswalkers, dodge removal, retrigger Solemn Simulacrum, etc. Don't play it in creature-heavy, low-spell decks — you need a critical mass of noncreature spells and good targets to abuse. It's a combo enabler and value piece, not a beater, so durdly aggro or pure tokens decks won't get much.
