Why is this card good?
Sheoldred is a grindy reanimator engine and a one-card edict factory. Every one of your upkeeps you reanimate a creature for free — and on each opponent's turn, they're forced to sacrifice. In a four-player game that's three forced sacrifices per turn cycle, which absolutely shreds creature-based boards and protects you from blockers.
She shines in reanimator and aristocrats decks that load the graveyard early. Pair her with sacrifice payoffs (Blood Artist, Dictate of Erebos) or creatures with strong death/ETB triggers, and she snowballs fast. Mono-black and Golgari/Rakdos midrange/sacrifice commanders love her, and the swampwalk is a bonus against mono-black opponents.
The catches: at seven mana she's slow, doesn't protect herself, and gets blown out by removal before her upkeep triggers — you lose all the value. The edict is also choosable, so opponents chump it with tokens.
Don't run her in token-light go-wide or spellslinger decks, or anywhere you can't reliably stock a graveyard. She's a payoff, not an enabler.
