Why is this card good?
Delighted Halfling is one of the best one-drop mana dorks for Commander, and the reason is right there in its text: it ramps you toward your commander while making it uncounterable. In a format defined by legendary creatures, that "any color" mana is live almost every game.
Why it's great:
- Turn-one dork that accelerates into a turn-two commander.
- Protects your commander (and any legendary spell) from counters — huge against blue control and cEDH interaction.
- Fixes colors for splashy multicolor legends.
Who wants it: Practically any green deck that cares about casting its commander early and often — superfriends, legendary-matters builds (Sram, Kethek), and cEDH ramp shells. It shines most when your game plan funnels through a key legendary creature you must resolve.
When to skip it: Decks light on legendary spells get less from the second ability, leaving you with a plain dork — fine, but Llanowar Elves or Birds of Paradise fix colors more broadly. Token/go-wide strategies that don't lean on their commander care less.
