Until your next turn, your life total can't change and you gain protection from everything. All permanents you control phase out. (While they're phased out, they're treated as though they don't exist. They phase in before you untap during your untap step.)

Why is this card good?

The ultimate "no" button. Teferi's Protection takes you completely out of the game until your next turn — your board phases out (dodging board wipes, sacrifice effects, and edicts), your life can't change, and protection from everything means nothing can target or damage you. It's the single best answer to a lethal swing, a Cyclonic Rift, or a Craterhois you can't stop. Who wants it: Any white deck, full stop, but especially low-to-the-ground decks that fear board wipes and combo decks that want insurance to survive to their turn. It's also a political tool — you become untouchable while opponents fight each other. Why it's a Game Changer: It can blank an opponent's entire combo kill or alpha strike, warping how tables play around you. In cEDH it functions as a clean Fog-plus-protection that survives nearly everything. When to skip it: It's purely reactive — it doesn't advance your board or win you the game. Aggressive, proactive decks that race may prefer a removal spell or threat instead.
