Whenever Gran-Gran becomes tapped, draw a card, then discard a card.
Noncreature spells you cast cost less to cast as long as there are three or more Lesson cards in your graveyard.
Gran-Gran is a one-mana looting engine: tap her every turn (and ideally multiple times per turn) to draw-then-discard, smoothing draws, filling your graveyard, and digging toward answers and payoffs. You play a mono-blue tempo/control game that grinds card advantage while assembling untap loops and a few Lessons to make your spells cheaper, then close with a value-based or combo finish.
Lean into untap engines (Freed from the Real, Pemmin's Aura, Thousand-Year Elixir, Thassa) plus a cheap mana rock to create deterministic loops, and add a clean payoff like Thassa's Oracle or Aetherflux Reservoir so the digging actually wins. Pair her with real draw engines (Teferi's Ageless Insight, Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora) since looting alone doesn't generate advantage, and pack heavy interaction—counterspells and protection like Heroic Intervention substitutes (Swiftfoot Boots, Lightning Greaves)—to keep her online. If you want the Lesson reduction to matter, prioritize the few blue/colorless Lessons and Learn enablers, otherwise treat it as upside and build a focused tempo-combo control list.
