Why is this card good?

Academy Ruins turns your graveyard into a recurring toolbox, and that's the whole pitch. For a single colorless land slot, you get repeatable artifact recursion that's almost impossible to interact with — they have to kill the land, and even then you've usually banked value already. This shines in any blue artifact deck. Artifact-heavy commanders like Urza, Lord High Artificer, Emry, Breya, or Sydri love rebuying bombs, mana rocks, and combo pieces. It's especially nasty with sacrifice-for-value engines or self-mill, and it enables loops with cards like Mindslaver or any artifact that wants to be cast every turn. In stax shells it rebuys lock pieces (Tangle Wire, Smokestack) repeatedly. The catch: it only fetches artifacts, and only to the top of your library — so you draw it next turn, which is slow. In decks running few artifacts it's just a tapland with upside. Don't run it as a generic blue land; play it when you have real artifacts worth recurring.
