Why is this card good?
Blind Obedience is a sneaky-good two-drop pillow-fort and pinging enchantment that does more than its mana value suggests.
The tap-down effect is the real draw. By forcing opponent artifacts and creatures to enter tapped, you blunt fast mana ramp (Sol Ring, mana rocks), slow down aggressive creature decks, and—crucially—stop opponents from having instant-speed blockers or haste plays the turn they land. It pairs beautifully with stax and tax-style builds.
Extort is the gravy: in grindy white/black decks, every spell you cast can drain the whole table, which adds up over a long game and synergizes with lifegain payoffs.
Wants it: white/Orzhov stax, aristocrats, control, and pillow-fort commanders like Elesh Norn, Ghyrson Starn, or any deck that wants to tax the board while slowly draining opponents.
Skip it in fast combo or token-go-wide decks that don't care about opposing tempo—it's too slow and passive. It shines in attrition-focused games, not aggressive ones.
