Why is this card good?
Elas il-Kor is one of the best two-mana aristocrats payoffs in the format, and it's incredibly cheap to deploy and rebuild.
The reason it's so strong is symmetry-breaking value: you gain life off your own creatures entering and drain opponents when they die. In a deck with sac outlets and token generators, every creature becomes a small Blood Artist + Soul Warden stapled together. With a single free sac outlet (Viscera Seer, Ashnod's Altar) and a recurring token loop (Pitiless Plotter, Reassembling Skeleton), you close games outright.
Wants: White/black aristocrats decks — Teysa Karlov (which doubles the dies trigger), Ayara, Marchesa, or any token/sacrifice shell. The deathtouch is a nice bonus defensive deterrent.
Don't play it in decks without sacrifice synergies or token swarms — alone it does almost nothing. It's also a build-around, not a generically good card, so go-wide or combo-leaning aristocrats lists benefit far more than midrange goodstuff piles.
A premier budget engine; it punches well above its mana value in the right shell.
