Why is this card good?

Hellkite Tyrant is a beating in the right deck — a 6/5 flier with trample that punishes any artifact-heavy table on contact and offers a real alternate win condition. The artifact-stealing trigger is the actual payoff. In an artifact-centric pod (Treasure decks, Karn, Urtet, Storm the Vault) one connection can swing the game by stripping mana rocks, equipment, and value engines straight to your side. The "win with 20 artifacts" clause is more of a bonus — relevant in dedicated artifact decks (Osgir, Slobad, Brudiclas) that already flood the board with Treasures and tokens. Where it wants to be: mono-red or Jund-style artifact/Treasure ramp, and as a finisher in big-mana Dragon decks like Miirym or The Ur-Dragon where a 6-mana evasive body is fine anyway. Skip it at tables light on artifacts — then it's just a vanilla 6/5 flier with no upside. It's also evasive but fragile, dying to any removal before it connects. Reward, not staple.

If you don't control twenty or more artifacts at the beginning of your upkeep, Hellkite Tyrant's last ability won't trigger. If it does trigger, it will check again when it tries to resolve. If you don't control twenty or more artifacts at that time, the ability will do nothing.
